Another recipe for healthy chia seed pudding, only this time in my favorite, chocolate version.
Indulge in this delicious Chia Seed Pudding for a
nutritious breakfast, and treat yourself to melt-in-your-mouth chocolate early in the morning.
This chocolate chia seed pudding will amaze you with its taste.
Add some strawberries or raspberries to it, and a little bit of coconut and no one can resist it!
There are only 275 calories per serving and a lot of fiber and protein.

So why are these seeds considered the food of the future, and where did they come from?
In fact, they were eaten along with maize and legumes many centuries ago by the Aztecs.
They are grown in Latin America, from where they came to other continents, where their properties were appreciated. These seeds have a very balanced composition, they contain omega-3, fiber, vitamins, and microelements necessary for the human body. Chia seeds contain more calcium than cow's milk, and since it is a plant-based product, unlike milk, they do not contain cholesterol.

Chia seeds are added to salads, you can make desserts with them that will be healthy and will not harm your figure! It is best to prepare a dessert in the form of a pudding, for which it is customary to use any vegetable milk, whether it be nut or oat. Such desserts are not subjected to heat treatment, which increases the value of the final product.

I suggest making chocolate chia pudding, it will be very tasty!
You can prepare such a dessert in literally 10 minutes, but it must be given time for the chia seeds to swell in milk and make it a pudding.

If chia seeds are consumed along with carbohydrates, they slow down the conversion of carbohydrates into simple sugars, which are subsequently stored in fat cells. They will help you energize and increase focus, they can be used to cleanse the body of toxins and suppress hunger during a diet. If you want the pudding to be sweeter, you can safely add another spoonful of honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons 2 maple syrup

  • ¼ cup chia seeds

  • 1 cup 1 dairy-free milk (oat, almond, coconut)

  • 1 tablespoons 1 Dutch Processed Cacao powder

Directions

  • Using a whisk, whisk all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl or cup.
  • Keep it on the counter for 5-10 minutes and mix it every 2-3 minutes. Split it in half and keep one half as is and the other half - add cocoa powder. Mix well.
  • Fill the small serving jars with half of the vanilla plain chia seed putting and top it with the chocolate mixture.
  • Put the jars (preferably with a lid) in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
  • Top with your favorite preserve or coconut whipped cream. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Dutch-processed cocoa powder provides rich chocolate flavor. You can substitute it with regular cocoa powder.
