The juiciest chicken you've ever tasted. The secret is to put garlic, lemon, and onion inside the chicken. Try this recipe - the result will pleasantly surprise you. I have been using it for a very long time and the result is always excellent. Every time I make this chicken, my family literally gnaws at the bones.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium 1 or large chicken

  • 1 1 bunch of greens (parsley, cilantro, dill, rosemary)

  • 1 medium 1 lemon

  • 1 medium 1 Onion

  • 5-8 5-8 cloves of garlic

  • 4 tbsp 4 butter

  • 1 tsp 1 salt

  • Black pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Get all the ingredients together.
  • Remove the offal from the chicken. Rinse the chicken with cold water (inside and out) and pat dry with paper towels. Put the chicken in a baking dish (breast up).
  • Squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the chicken. Stuff the chicken with onion, and garlic, and the other half of the lemon.
  • Salt and pepper on all sides. Mix the finely chopped herbs with butter and rub the mixture all over the chicken as well as between the skin and the meat, carefully distributing all the greens.
  • Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes, until cooked through, uncovered. This duration is perfect to get a juicy chicken with a nice and crispy crust.
  • Remove from the oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes (it is important not to skip this step so that the juices are evenly distributed).
  • Transfer to a cutting board, slice, and serve.
