Although Brussels sprouts have hit our table recently, we have already heard a lot about their benefits and nutritional value.
You probably already know more than one or even two recipes for cooking this vegetable, but do you know the easiest and one of the most delicious cooking methods?
After all, baked
Brussels sprouts in the oven have an incredibly appetizing look and amazing taste, while still remaining extremely dietary and healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts

  • 3 tbsp Olive oil

  • 1 tsp Salt (finely ground is best)

  • Ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  • Carefully sort the heads of Brussels sprouts, removing withered yellow and brown leaves. Put the cabbage in a colander and rinse it well under running water. Wait for a little until excess moisture drains from the washed heads of cabbage, and cut each of them into two parts. Of course, you can leave them whole if you wish.
  • Bake Brussels sprouts in the oven.
  • Put the oven to warm up to 390 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, place the prepared Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet. Put salt and pepper in a tablespoon and sprinkle the vegetables with spices, evenly distributing them over the entire area, then similarly drizzle the Brussels sprouts with olive oil. You can also carry out this procedure in advance on a plate of a suitable size, and only after putting the vegetables on a heat-resistant baking sheet, in other words, do as you like.
  • Bake Brussels sprouts for 30-40 minutes. At the same time, every 7-10 minutes, the vegetables need to be mixed with a special spatula or simply by slightly shaking the baking sheet. Important: open the oven carefully and use oven mitts to avoid getting burned by the hot steam.
  • Once the cabbage heads are browned and ready, remove them from the oven and start serving.
  • Oven-baked Brussels sprouts can be served as a side dish or as a stand-alone dish with, for example, sour cream or garlic sauce. Brussels sprouts are delicious, both hot and chilled.

Notes

  • You can use either fresh or frozen Brussels sprouts for this dish.
  • - Five minutes before cooking, you can pour sour cream with spices over Brussels sprouts or sprinkle it with grated cheese.
  • – You can also use fresh garlic and hot red pepper as additional seasonings.
