Ingredients

  • Hazelnut Crumble
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon 1 ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 sugar

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 hazelnuts (roasted and peeled), chopped

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 (3/4 stick) unsalted butter softened

  • Banana Bread
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 coconut or avocado oil

  • 2/3 cup 2/3 sugar

  • 3 large 3 peeled bananas

  • 2 large 2 eggs

  • 2/3 cup 2/3 Nutella or Nutiva chocolate hazelnut spread

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 baking powder

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Place the bananas in a large bowl, then mash them with a fork or a potato masher. Add the oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, stirring it all together until combined.
  • Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and chocolate chips, then whisk together until just combined.
  • Place the Nutella in a separate bowl, and heat it up in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until slightly warm.
  • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared loaf pan, then drizzle half the warm Nutella on top of the batter.
  • Add the remaining cake batter and drizzle the remaining Nutella on top, then very gently swirl the batter with a knife.
  • Top with the prepared hazelnut crumble and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. To prevent the top from becoming too brown, you can cover the pan with aluminum foil after about 50-60 minutes of baking.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely on the wire rack. Put it into an airtight container and keep it in the fridge in a container for up to 5-6 days. Serve at room temperature.
